For example a few years ago, when we created a 4-5 hr audio product on creating an online business plan, we decided to hire the cheapest transcriber we could find given that we had so much audio content. The result of course was that the first transcription was filled with errors – sentences that didn’t make sense and words that we had not used. What we came to realize is, that the guy we hired, had farmed it out to a foreign typist who’s command of the English language was less than stellar.
We were reminded of a valuable lesson- “you get what you pay for”.
This week, I had the opportunity to interview Melody Trantham of WeScribeIt.com. I found Melody a couple of years ago when I wrote and published my first book. One thing that I discovered with Melody’s company is not only the fast turnaround time that she offers, but also the fact that she hires only English speaking typists. Each of the typists that work for her are given a thorough screening process to make sure they are as good as they say.
In this interview, you’ll get to hear Melody’s story of how she started WeScribeIt as a solo typist herself, and how she’s grown it into a very successful business today. If I could put a theme on this interview, it would be about the power of offering exceptional value. That’s what Melody does, and that’s why WeScribeIt will continue to grow for years to come.
We’ll also be answering questions about WordPress plugins, the best HD camcorder for the money and more!
