I’ve just started Guy Kawasaki’s ebook What the Plus! Google+ For the Rest of Us. It’s a short guide on Google+ that offers some useful tips and instructions. That said, we’ve been wanting to get someone on the show to talk about the benefits of using this new social media platform. When I was checking out the list of session’s for this year’s Podcamp Nashville, I came across a session called Google+: Ghost Town or Game Changer given by Peter G McDermott. Peter’s a blogger who’s appeared on several major networks and creating iReports for CNN.
Peter joined us on the show this week to discuss the value of Google+, and answer some questions I’m sure many us have had:
- Is it worth bothering with another social network for your business, especially if you already have your customers’ attention?
- Is this +1 thing really going to do anything for your website, or is it just another “social action” for your readers and customers to click?
- Who uses Google+ and what’s the big advantage to using it?
You can can check out Peter’s weekly video podcast show “How to Make it Work” at blip.tv/petergmcdermott.
