This week, we welcome Jocelyn Wallace of the Red 11 Group on the show to talk about visual marketing. Jocelyn is an amazingly talented artist, a visual marketing strategist and the co-author of the upcoming book (that I’m really pumped about) called Book Yourself Solid Illustrated. The original book was fantastic!
So why has the visual aspect of whiteboards, illustrations, pictures and video been such an important part of business lately?
You’ve probably seen tons of the whiteboard drawing videos lately. And it’s no coincidence that Facebook has changed their strategy to a more visual format that focuses on images. Plus when you look at the explosion of sites like Pinterest, there’s no denying that people do in fact communicate with images. The right image can covey as clear a message often times as the written word itself.
Jocelyn will join us to talk about why visual imagery is so important in your online marketing plan. This is especially true if you’re a blogger.
We’ll also be talking about the brand new upcoming book she did with bestselling author Michael Port called, Book Yourself Solid Illustrated.
We’ll also be taking a few listener questions as well…
Best alternative to YouTube for adding converted audios to my site
Jay is wanting to take his audio recordings and embed those as a video player on his site. To do so, he’s taking the MP3 file, adding a graphic and text overlay in a video editor and then rendering into video format. His question is – is there a better alternative to YouTube for adding those videos to his site? We’ll be discussing some alternatives he might want to look at.
What’s the best video editor for the money for someone who us stepping up from windows movie maker.
Frank has just recently created and edited his first video for a client. He used the free windows movie maker program for the job, but now would like to step up to a more professional video editor that’s not super expensive. We’ll be happy to share our video edit of choice for PC users – Sony Movie Studio; and discuss why for the money ($40), it’s the best out there in our opinion.
What happened to my Google Adsense Earnings???!! 🙁
Staci wants why her Google Adsense earnings have disappeared as of April 1! By now, she and many other Adsense income earners have figured out that this was not some sick April fools joke from Google last week.
Google has decided to move YouTube earnings to YouTube alone. So in order to see earnings from YouTube videos, you now have to login to your YouTube account and click on the “analytics” tab. There you’ll see that all of your earnings are still there.
Unfortunately, this new system won’t give the instant “earnings” results we’ve been accustomed to when logging into our old Adsense accounts. Oh well…with Google, you learn to roll with the punches. 🙂
