This week we welcome Christian Torres, co-found of chatWing on the show to discuss how to create a live interactive audio or video podcast show.
ChatWing is a free software service that allows users to embed a live interactive chatroom on their website. This allows podcasters, who sometimes stream their shows live, to interact with their show listeners in real time. It was even used during one of MTV’s recent shows “Lip Lock Knockout” to get live feedback from viewers.
ChatWing has a social media integration as well, allowing visitors to log in with Facebook or Twitter accounts. This makes it a great tool not only for podcasters but also Facebook marketers, niche community creators and bloggers.
With Chatwing installed, the users can post their questions and get answers from the community in real-time.
In this interview, you’ll hear Christian share the story of their startup, how they used the “lean startup” model to grow chatWing and some of the newest features that they’ve developed, like the new mobile app that lets users chat in groups from any mobile device.
Some great takeaways you’ll get from this episode are:
- Lessons on starting a company lean from chatWing’s own story
- The power of social proof (Christian talks about Pat Flynn’s endorsement at New Media Expo this year)
- How an online chat feature like chatWing can help boost your site’s search rankings
- And much more!
