I‘ve published five books over the last 6 years, and I can tell you from experience, one of the most effective marketing strategies for positioning yourself as a sought after expert is to self-publish a book. I have talked about this for years. Publishing a book, even if it’s not through a big name publisher, can open a lot of doors in your industry.
One of my recent podcast interviews was with Dr. Judy Morgan, an author, speaker, and holistic veterinarian, who has written and self-published 3 books in the last two years. I’ve used this strategy in the past for a couple of books I wrote. I paid to have some audio interviews transcribed, then hired an editor to re-write it so it sounded much better. This is a great way to get your books completed in a short time.
